La caídainho extends to eight the club's losing streak and left virtually no margin for error.
Laroutine is becoming a habit. The clubs make changes, start a new process and, when results do not immediately improve, the cycle reaches a crisis terminal. Several streaks of five or six matches without a victory were enough to precipitate a change.
Tigre's case has a particular flavor. Dabove arrived in January 2025 and, in 81 matches, led the club to qualification for the Copa Sudamericana. But the final stretch became unsustainable. The team's eight consecutive defeats without a victory ended with the resignation announced by the coach himself.
There are different reasons behind each departure, but the result is the same: 27 coaches have been dissociated from Argentine Primera División teams over the course of the football year. The number does not tell a single story, but it does show how difficult it has become to sustain sporting projects.
The immediate question is no longer whether changes will continue, but how many more will occur before the tournament ends. Tigre is the latest example. It may not be the last one.
Holding a project together requires more than a new announcement and a press conference. It demands board support, a coherent sporting plan and time for a coach to work. Without those conditions, every negative run turns into a countdown.
The close of the Clausura will offer a revealing test. The next rival is not the only measure: the real indicator will be whether clubs begin to plan beyond the emergency of the next result. Otherwise, the number of coaches who leave will continue to grow.
